FAQ

Where can I drive?

The city of New Port Richey kindly provides a map of where you can and cannot operate a golf cart on public roadways. You can find that here.

What are your rental requirements?

All renters must be a minimum of 21 years of age. They must also have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a credit card for payment.

Should I rent an electric or gas golf cart?

We offer both electric and gas options for rental to tailor to your needs.

  • Electric:
It should take about 8-10 hours to charge the battery completely. The golf cart will be provided fully charged. This is an ideal choice for an hourly rental or someone staying locally in downtown New Port Richey. The golf cart is equipped with an onboard charger and extension cord, so charging is simple wherever a standard outlet is available. The cheaper of the two options, electric provides a smooth, quiet ride, perfect for soaking in the scenery; just keep in mind that charge!
  • Gas:
This cart comes with a full tank of gas which gets about 30 miles to the gallon. This is a great option for someone who expects to travel back and forth throughout the city all day, not wanting to be limited by charging. The cart is a bit nosier and bumpier than an electric model so it might not suit everyone. We do require that the cart be returned with a full tank of gas, or a convenience fee will be applied.

How does delivery work?

Upon securing a rental date and time, you can choose any address within New Port Richey city limits for delivery. If no address is given, delivery will default to the public parking lot located next to The Hacienda Hotel.

We also deliver to surrounding areas outside of downtown NPR, subject to an additional delivery fee.

Are the golf carts considered LSVs?

As these golf carts go slower than 20MPH, they are NOT considered LSVs. And, since they are not LSVs, you may not cross or operate on any major road or highway that is not permitted for golf cart use according to the New Port Richey City Ordinance #2021-2231.

Can children ride in the golf cart?

We want the entire family to enjoy a cruise on our golf carts, but children under 6 years of age are prohibited from riding. Children 6 years of age or older are permitted to ride in the golf cart under the supervision of a parent or guardian and are required to wear the seatbelts provided.

Do I have to lock it up?

We provide locking devices for each golf cart that are expected to be used to help deter theft. Failure to use these devices could result in the renter being held liable for stolen property.

What is your cancellation policy?

Last-minute cancellations are subject to a reprocessing fee.

What if it rains?

We operate rain or shine! If the weather is too severe, and rescheduling is necessary, you may do so without penalty, at the owner’s discretion.
